Integrated filter system: Features a unique filter cartridge system that allows special filters to be inserted in front of the sensor, with neutral density (ND) options ranging from 0 to ND2.7.

ARRI Alexa 265 Camera Rental Compact and lightweight design The ALEXA 265 has been designed to be significantly more manageable than the ALEXA 65. Despite incorporating a 65 mm sensor, its body is only 4 mm longer and 11 mm wider than the ALEXA 35, resulting in a total weight of 3.3 kg, less than a third of the weight of the ALEXA 65. This reduction in size and weight allows for more versatile applications, including drones, stabilizers, and confined spaces.
Enhanced Sensor The new 65mm sensor in the ALEXA 265 offers 15 stops of dynamic range, an improvement over the 14 stops of its predecessor. In addition, sensitivity has been increased, offering a range from 3200 to 6400 EI (ISO/ASA), significantly improving performance in low-light conditions. These improvements result in sharper blacks, higher contrast, and reduced image noise.
Integrated Filter System An innovative feature of the ALEXA 265 is its built-in filter cartridge system. This allows special filters, encapsulated in protective cartridges, to be inserted directly in front of the sensor. ARRI offers FSND filters ranging from ND0 to ND2.7 in one-stop increments. Each cartridge contains a chip that communicates filter information to the user interface and records it in the camera’s metadata, making it easy to use both on set and in post-production.
Efficient Workflow The ALEXA 265 uses the LogC4 workflow and REVEAL Color Science technology, previously introduced with the ALEXA 35. It records in ARRIRAW format directly to Codex Compact Drives, which are compatible with current ARRI cameras. In addition, Codex HDE (High Density Encoding) can be used to reduce file sizes by up to 40% without compromising image quality. Monitors on set can be configured in HD or UHD, displaying SDR or HDR, or both simultaneously. ARRI is updating its SDK to ensure compatibility of ALEXA 265 images with leading third-party software tools.
